Some Diet tips
I'm a big fan of adding good food to my diet as opposed to limiting myself to things I cannot eat. I want my body to be healthy enough so that if I ever decide to eat a package of M&M's or a pizza, I can do it without worrying. So here are 12 foods that I use to make up m base diet.
I need a new workout
I need a new workout. My old one is boring and I can't wait to get out of the gym. I think I'll try a circuit or some high impact stuff. Any suggestions?
Working out with a cold
I tried a juice diet for a couple of days starting this past Sunday. I drank cranberry juice, grapefruit juice, water, fat free milk, tea, and coffee. I also had three triscuit crackers at meal times to take the edge off.
Now the problem is that on Saturday I came down with a little bit of a cold. I wanted to workout so I could take advantage of the fat burning status the liquid diet put me in. But I also didn't want to make myself sicker.
What I ended up doing was 10 total minutes of cardio and drop sets of all my normal exercises instead of my three set circuit. I'm not sure if it worked but I wasn't miserable and I still feel the burn.
Getting enough water
I used to struggle all the time trying to get enough water. The 8 8oz glasses a day was tough for me because I would literally forget. I kept a water bottle with me but would forget to drink.
The solution I came up with was sort of drastic but it works very well. When I get up, I immediately drink about 16oz. This is before breakfast or anything else. Then I go through my normal daily routine. About 9:30-10ish guess what....nature would call. But before I go to answer the call I finish whatever is in my water bottle. Doesn't matter how much is left. I then refill it when I'm done in the mens room.
Healthy
I recently found a cheap, healthy and tasty canned meal. It's Armour 3-bean Vegitarian Chili. Normally I don't like Vegitarian food at all, but this chili was so good I didn't even mind.
I don't always have a lot of time to cook so I have trouble getting all the fiber and protein I need. So check out the stats on this chili:
Saturated Fat: 0
Fiber: 24g
Sugars: 8g
Protein: 20g
And the best part, a can is only $.96 at Wal-Mart.
