So I joined Crunch in Park Slope in the middle of July... To date I have only been their one time after my two initial personal trainer tests runs.

I feel gross and I feel like I'm wasting money.

To be perfectly honest I'd rather cancel my membership and spend the money on food and booze, but that's what got me into this mess in the first place.

I think the problem is that I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't know what machines do what, I don't know what exercises affect what part of the body. I've never worked out before... ever, in my life, and to be perfectly honest, I don't enjoy it. Some people get a kick out of it, I don't. I'm pretty sure I have that 'lazy gene' that Scottish scientist just discovered.

Anyway, I really need to pull it together, start going at least twice, if not three times a week. The point of me joining a gym wasn't to remind myself about what terrible shape I'm in, it was to finally force me to get off my ass and do something about it.

Besides, practice makes perfect.
