First day on Gimme20
Hi! I love to knit and the success of Ravelry - an online knitting and crocheting community really compelled me to find a work out community to join as well. By success, I mean that when I knit projects, I completed them and posted up pictures and found other neat patterns to knit from other people's projects. Okay, this may sound weird to you, but a knitter or crocheter who uses Ravelry would understand....
Anyway, I'm in my early 20s and I can see my body expanding since high school!!! I need to get in shape for the sake of my health and my future. I hate to exercise, but it's vital for my health and I hope this site will help me stick to working out on a daily basis.
I've joined gyms and went like twice a month. I don't like going to gyms. I like to remove all the obstacles for working out, so right now, I'm just jump roping. I'm interested in getting into biking.....We'll see.
I realized that I think exercising is boring when I do it by myself, but for now, I'm going at it alone because I just need to START. So I'm going to work out in spurts throughout the day. Like 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there. Also as a mental trick, I'm equating the number of minutes I work out to the number of minutes I can watch TV! hahaha We'll see how that goes....
My background is zero movement. I don't exercise at all. I don't look overweight over my clothes, but I'm probably pushing it when it comes to my body mass index. I'm also short, short legs, short torso, so it's easy for the fat to accumulate around my waist.
