submitting different weights/reps for different sets?

I noticed that when entering the results from my workout, I only have the options to enter the weight, the reps, and how many sets I'm doing..

what if I've been increasing the weight for each set? It'd be great if we could enter that kind of data..

cheers! :)

Let's get ronn to brainstorm this

Jon: Ronn is our developer at Gimme20.com.

Let's see what he thinks....

Ronn - we have seen this suggestion before - what do you think about it and how technically feasible is it in the short and long term?

Also, this would introduce alot of complexity to the site.

Jon: Would you forsee alot of people using functionality like this?

It might introduce some

It might introduce some complexity, but without it then people aren't really keeping track of what they're actually doing.

It's actually a good idea to vary the weight and number of reps per set in a routine.. at least doing a warmup set at half the weight of a normal set.

is it a problem of interface, database, or more?

There are never problems!

Hey Jon -

There are never problems -- only solutions. Our original plan was simplicity, but we obviously above all else want to provide something that is the most useful.

I would really like to get Ronn's input on this! Ronn -- speak up man!!!

Jon! Ronn is putting together a estimate right now

Jon -

You will be happy to know that Ronn is putting together a work estimate right now for rolling out the ability to report different reps/weight values for different sets.

Ronn is also going to graph the 'average' of the sets - do you think this is a valid assumption?

Jordan

cool!

sounds awesome! :)

I think graphing the average would be cool.. sounds like a good solution! :)

Ronn - How are things going with this?

I understand Ronn has been working on this as well as some other functionality. Can we get an update ronn?

Different reps per set

Submitted by jdoree on January 25, 2008 - 7:48am.

I just found g20 and think it has great potential. However, a crucial feature for me is the ability to add different reps to my sets. I do my sets to failure and each set obviously has a different number of reps as the muscles being exercises become fatigued.

This thread about this type of feature is almost 2 years old and there still appears to be no ability to track workouts this way. Is this being added?

Please say yes.
