Does gimme20 sell email addresses or is there a leak?

I received a piece of casino spam today. This itself is highly unremarkable except for the fact that it is to an email address that only gimme20 has. Again not strange, except for the fact that this spam is SPECIFICALLY to a special gmail "plus address" that only gimme20 has. My email I gave gimme20 is in the form "xxxxxxxxxx+gimme20@gmail.com." it still goes to my normal "xxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com" but it allows me to see who may have sent a certain email. Today I received that spam to this special (and impossible to randomly guess) email address. So my question is, is the email database breached or is my data being sold?

Well it looks like after looking further into it, it was due to a spam to a group, from the bottom:

We are looking into this email problem to ensure that it never happens again. I'll update this thread as I make progress. In short, no one should have been able to send out emails but the admins of the group (none of which would have done this).
I believe, you are subscribed to receive any posts from this group, and someone posted a "Casino" post/link which our admins deleted ASAP. However, if you are subscribed to receive all posts to this group, you will receive the group update message before we have the chance to delete it.
