Hello!

I'm not sure what forum this kind of question would go into.
Maybe my suggestion is to create something for this kind of question!

"I recently have heard some things about podcasts that talk you through a workout.

I was wondering if any members might have suggestions for one. I am looking for specificly stretching/warm up, yoga, or running podcasts."

Thanks!

I just figured out an answer

I just figured out an answer to my own question!

I remembered where I had heard about these workout podcasts--- It was on here!
Gimmie 20 user "morthian" had commented to my profile and suggested http://www.fitpod.com . I am downloading things right now, and it seems like I will love it!

note about fitpod.com: let the beats be your guide

Fitpod.com is great but doesn't actually talk you through the workout; it gives you the right beats per minute (BPM) for different workouts. It's mostly music... there are very few short vocal segments. It starts out slow for the warm-up then takes you to more intense beats (like for running or cycling or whatever else) then slows down at the end for cool down. There are some tracks that are super mellow (perfect for yoga) but they don't tell you which posses to perform or how. You plan your own workouts.

I personally haven't really searched for voice instructed workouts. I know GIAM has a few on CD in their travel kits.

fitpod is great.

You can't beat free music.

I was toying around with the idea of having a music discussion forum for a while, but I didn't create it based on the fact that I didn't think we'd have enough interest.

Agree?

A better idea might even be

A better idea might even be a ranking system (top 50 with categories like dance, cardio, bodybuilding, meditation and yoga. Some tunes could fit in multiple categories. If it's set up right, you might even try to get sponsors/partners for this feature. Possible business potential.
