Weight still going down even though I lost my job
I was sitting at home looking for a new job and thought I would write a quick blog. Recently I found out that I was being laid off from my job, and yesterday was my last day. It was completely unexpected since I had been at this company for almost 4 years, but with business being extremely slow, they had to let some people go. Unfortunately I had to be one of them. At first I was really upset and angry, and thought that I would return to my old habits and completely destroy what I have done in the last 2 months. Yes I have had the odd strawberry shake from DQ, but I still have been keeping up with my healthy eating and my running/walking schedule. I havent been up to going to the gym, but with the weather being so nice outside recently, that could also be a reason. I just weighed myself this morning, and I have just reached the 40 lbs lost mark. I started at 278.4 lbs and I am currently at 237.6 lbs. I am just over half way to my goal of 199.0 lbs. Yes there are times that I want to use eating to make myself feel better, but each time I had something that wasnt good for me, my body would reject it. I have promised myself that I would never go back to my old habits again because I never want to see myself in the upper 200's or bordering 300 lbs. I know this is going to be a huge test for me, not only mentally, but physically as well. Seeing that weight this morning put a smile on my face, which reminded me of how well I am doing. Hopefully the next time I write I will have a new job, and have lost a little more weight. Until next time.
