Two Days in a Row
So my motivation has finally caught up with my intentions and the result is that I now have a consecutive day count of two (2). My plan is to alternate cardio and MSE (muscular strength endurance) days.
For me the key is getting up early to get my workouts done before I hit the office. My life is pretty busy and I have to get my fitness in before the sun comes up, otherwise I'm probably not going to get it done (at least not at this point in my fitness training).
There are two other elements to my plan for success; the first is this blog. I want to get involved in a community of like-minded people with whom I can share success and stories, and generally gain motivation from and help provide motivation to. The last element of my plan for success is my diet. I'm currently using myplate.com to track all my food intake, as well as my excercises for calories burnt.
My goal is to decrease my waist size to a 34 by the end of the fall 2007, and then to reduce that further to a 32 by the end of spring 2008. My short term goal is to get at or below a 36 by the end of the summer 2007. My current waist size is about a 41 but I'll measure tonight to be sure.

I've got to get up and get the work out in too, if I miss it I usually go home with the best of intentions to take the dog on a run or something but am often assaulted with 'honey do' or I've got some sort of prior commitment.
I like the body weight exercises too, have you seen the planche progressions? Check this article out: http://www.dragondoor.com/articler/mode3/229/
It's pretty awesome and best of all... no gear required.
great comment
Thanks for the comment, I checked out the link you suggested and I really like it. I will probably start to incorporate some of those excercises next week. Thanks!

I've been looking around for myplate.com but it doesn't look like it exists with that address anymore, are there any other similar web applications out there that could replace it?
