So, this is my first time on this website...just found it online. I want to get motivated. I've gained a lot of weight in the last two years, it's ridiculous. I just signed with LA weightloss and started a running routine (okay, right now I'm basically mostly walking)...but I'm out their. Coolrunnings.com ...seemed doable...this is my third day and I feel good...we'll see how week 2 goes.
Just wanted to say hi.

Welcome, congrats on your commitment (although I don't really understand the running thing, ouch! but to each his own ;)

Don't worry about 'only' walking. I'm convinced that it's really all about getting started and as you point out at least you're out there.

This site has been helpful for me if for nothing else to have somewhere to publicly rant and track my progress.
