Working instead of working out..
Crap, so I have to work Mon and Wed in another city and stay away from home. I need to keep my presence in since I'm trying to finagle more work (but only what I want to do) with them but.. I'll be away from my weights, and my guided yoga and my.. stuff... The job itself is exhausting and I know I'll not want to even jog to the radio after work, much less do any pushups.. Maybe I'll do my sleepytime yoga before bed and my stretch warm up routine before work. Maybe a little leg work and resistance arm and back stuff I can do without tools.. Stuff I can do from memory very simply. I'm just annoyed.. I cant reach my goals in any reasonable amount of time if I cant do the minimum on a regular basis..
Humph. And also phooey.
In better news, a cup of vegetally tomato soup is the best lunch ever. Pass it on.

I know what you mean
I know what you mean...I travel a lot for work and when I do ...I put in 16-18 hr days with working, meetings, and dinners...not sure how to get the time in for workouts....any suggestions...perhaps I need to look at a "no Machine" workout to do in the hotel.
Thanks for reading.
Yep...
I hear you on this. I've been thinking about how lucky I am to have the opportunity to use a gym. It really makes starting out easier when I can just sort of wander around the gym and try different things out. I've always known it would end some day though and so I'm trying to make a concerted effort to find ways to exercise outside of the gym. There's the easy stuff like going for a walk or a bike ride but I've been trying to develop some routines that will give me a good full body workout with just me and a small amount of space for just this reason. I had to use one of them this weekend when I was traveling and I was glad to have done the pre-work of putting a semblance of a routine together. It still needs more work but it's a good start for me. Basically what I did was a modified sun salutation I added jump squats and push ups to it and got a fairly decent work out. I also add a couple of sets of tuck planche because I can't do that kind of pushup yet ;)
