Exited for the summer
I guess it's time to do things for real this time. I'm tired of not reaching my goals.
I used to be very fit once. When I was about 19 years old. I practiced Tae Kwon Do and even was Icelandic champion.
I remember telling my mother that I would probably never be fat. At least I couldn't see myself getting fat.
As the years passed by and I was no longer in school. Now it was just work and fast food for convenience.
I read a lot of health related information on the internet and I think I know a lot about it, but where I fail is in implementation. I guess I'm the all or nothing kind of person.
It's difficult because there's always something that "comes up" and screws up my plan. I need to take it easy on myself.
Well, I'm gonna try to do this right this time. Summer is almost here and the weather is beautiful.
Until later, Victor

your thoughts
Have you thought about going back into Tae Kwon Do?
I'm with morthian
Consider going back to TKD. Or another martial art or boxing, etc. Sometimes you need to do something you like more than just pumping iron. I'm trying for find an ice hockey league for really bad players myself, but I may just start playing shinny. Every little bit helps.
for hockey...
For hockey, you might want to try a power skating course... it will improve your balance and skating technique so that later on you can focus on the other details of the game. One of my friends tried this out and it worked out great for him. It gave him such an advantage over the other players when he was learning. Typically guys take this class anyways.
No more TKD for me
I got bored with TKD a few years ago and practiced Kickboxing for awhile. Now that was fun. I have all the equipment needed to kickbox/box. Allthough I've long decided not to compete or get in a similar position where I can get hurt. There's been enough of that in my younger years.
I was thinking of joining a local boxing club, but it's not a priority right now. There's loads of things to do at home or outside.
I own inline skates and I've been re-discovering how much fun it is. I used to be pretty good. I can do almost everything I used to, except jumping off of and over things :)
