Starting up again

So I've started up again. I'm almost back to my all time high in weight (245lbs now highest was 255) and way up from my university days. I though I was out of shape then at 210-220, but really I spent too much time playing sports to be as bad as I am now.

I'm hoping this time it will stick. What got me off my last program was a very active toddler who demands attention and too much work. But I've realized that I need the energy to play with her in the evening and weekends... don't want to get winded kicking the soccer ball around the yard with a 3 year old. Plus I'm feeling more pressure in the "being a good role model" arena.

It's good that I found gimme20... I think it will have the right mix of tech and tracking to help me keep going until this is just habit. Of course diet will be an important part too, but we'll see how that goes.

Did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine tonight, and I'm starting the 3 day split workout tomorrow. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be "off" days for me, but I'm hoping to play with my daughter for at least 20 minutes on each of those days. Then all I need to do is find a beginners (or really bad players accepted) ice hockey league to play in.
