Monday: Today was an off day for weights. I went to the gym and got on the tread climber for 20 minutes, then on the bike for about 35 minutes. I had planned on doing the bike for 20 and the eliptical for 20, but a girl I know came and got on the bike next to me and we got carried away talking. lol So after that, I just decided to quit since it was a total of almost an hour already. :-)

Tuesday's workout

Hey Sarah! Let us know what you're up to with your workouts too. I haven't bought The Firm yet but maybe I'll try and pick it up when I'm in Oklahoma and that will give me something to do there since I won't have a gym around.

Today, I worked my chest, arms, and abs. I was down in our basement gym for like an hour and 25 minutes. That wiped me out! After I ate and showered, I went to get groceries. Does that count as cardio? :-P

Leg day

I just worked my legs for 50 minutes then walked uphill on the treadmill for 20 this morning. Hope you gals are doing great!

I worked my back today for 30 minutes then got on the bike for another 30. Got a visit from "Aunt Flo" this afternoon and feeling poopie. Glad I got my workout in today. Tomorrow was going to be an off day anyway. Good timing for a change! lol

Worked my chest, arms, and abs for like an hour and a half this morning! Well, there was a break or two in there to help Josh with some things so I'll say at least an hour. lol I finished off my big thing of creatine today so I don't have to drink that nasty stuff for a while. I think I'll take about a month off then get some more. It really helps me, I think. I wish I could find some other supplements that would help in building muscle too. Maybe I'll do some searching around on the net..

Getting back on track!

Hey girls,
Wow, last week was CRAZY! School is so much fun, but no time for anything else. I did work out 2 treadmill days and 2 Firm days, arobic body sculpting and super charged sculpting. Oh yeah, and I mowed the lawn yesterday, it was freaking 85 degreese, finally! I will try to log daily this week, maybe mornings before anyone gets up.

It's great that you're still making time to work out in the middle of all the madness! I hope you continue to enjoy school. :)

I'm getting ready to head to the gym. It's leg day for me. I'll be doing some cardio too. My family will get here tomorrow so I'm going to be busy busy busy. I have some cleaning to finish today and I have to get groceries tomorrow morning. I'm so excited!

I havent been participating... I havent been able to get to the gym. We have been so busy and working so much that this weekend we stayed home to clean house. YAY! We were suppose to go to the Y tonight but I had to cover for someone in the office. AHHHH... I am doing a little better diet wise. I gotta get to bed, but wanted to check in with you gals. Hope you both have a wonderful week. Hopefully when school gets out in a few weeks, I will be able to have a few days off during the week and put more time into this group and more importantly MY HEALTH!!! *HUGS GALS* Keep up the great work.... you are a great inspiration! *CIAO*

Doin my best

I'm trying to keep up my workouts and eating clean but it's hard with my family visiting. I've been bad!! Well, at least I'm still working out some even though I've had some food I shouldn't have. My brother went to the gym with me one day and I worked out downstairs this morning for about 90 minutes. I will work extra hard when they leave to knock the couple of pounds off that I'm sure I've gained. lol

How are your workouts coming? I worked my shoulders hard this morning for 40 minutes and they are already hurting. I know I'm going to be sore tomorrow! After that, I did the eliptical for 30 minutes. I tried the NO-XPLODE today for the first time. I hear it's really good stuff. I could tell during some of the exercises that I had more strength than usual (you take it before you work out). It sure tastes nasty though. It was like a mix of creatine, cough syrup, and 7-Up. No kidding. LOL But I'll give it a chance. I also tried one of those instant whey protein tubes after my workout since I had to go to the post office and get gas, and I was already running late because I had talked to someone at the gym for a while. They are so cool. You can throw the tube in your gym bag or purse or whatever and they are unbreakable. Anytime you need some protein, it's great to have one handy. They have 25 grams of protein--no fat, no sugar. I had ordered the fruit punch flavor but they were out and sent me blue raspberry. I usually hate blue raspberry stuff so I expected it to be nasty, but it wasn't bad at all. I was feeling really hungry by the time I got to the gas station. I drank it right down and I could tell immediately that I felt better. Then I just had my breakfast when I got home. GREAT product! But expensive. I think it was like $35 for 12 of them. I'll only use them in case of emergency!

Well, I'm off to clean my house. Keep burning those calories, girls!

My shoulders are still sore. lol

The boys had dentist appointments yesterday morning so I didn't make it to the gym. I had to work my back at home. I hate doing that because I like using some of the machines at the gym like the assisted pull up machine and the pull down bar. Oh well.. I still managed to spend about 45 minutes downstairs and I was sweaty when I got done. And my back is a bit sore today too, although not as bad as my shoulders. Today is my day off. Hopefully this soreness will be gone by tomorrow because tomorrow is chest/arms day.

I know you girls are both busy right now so don't feel bad; just check in when you can. I just want to keep doing this because I like to log what I do somewhere. :)

I worked my chest and arms for 90 minutes today with some abs excercises (and dancing around the basement just for fun--and to keep my heart rate up. lol) thrown in between sets. It was a good workout. I think that NO-XPLODE really helps. I was able to increase the weight a bit on my chest (dumbbell presses).

I'm so out of it this morning. I took Tylenol PM last night because I had a nagging headache. I slept great but I'm so tired this morning. I just want to go back to bed! But I won't. :)

Yesterday was leg day. Worked my legs and then got on the bike for a quick 20 minute cardio session. Today is a day off from weight training, so I'm going to go to the gym and do a cardio circuit for an hour this morning.

I had a great workout this morning. I have so much energy! I worked my chest and arms pretty hard for an hour then did the eliptical for 20 minutes.

I worked my back today then took my first ever step class. It was interesting! (I blogged about it) I'm not the most coordinated person, so I was lost half the time. LOL But it was a good workout.

Today was supposed to be my off day but I decided to go ahead and do tomorrow's today.. the timing just worked out better. I have my consult appointment Wednesday morning and this way I will not have to work out Wednesday (I do two days on, one day off with the weights).. Anyhoo, I did my shoulders today and then got on the bicycle for 20 minutes. :)

Did my legs at home yesterday. Off today. I'll do chest and arms tomorrow and some cardio, and then my back on Tuesday also followed by cardio. Then I take Wednesday off because I'll be GOING TO MY CONSULTATION!!! OOH I'm so nervous. :)

Hi girls! Here is my plan for this week..

Today, I worked my shoulders (five exercises, four sets of each) and then did a few abs exercises. Then 20 minutes on the eliptical.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is back day. Thursday I'm working my chest and arms, and Friday my legs. As usual, I'll do 20-30 minutes cardio after weights each day.

I'm pushing myself as hard as I can since I only have 16 more days till the surgery. I won't be able to work out after that for a while.

Kristy, I hope you have found some time to work out with that busy schedule of yours. Sarah, I can't wait to hear about your recovery. I hope it doesn't take too long. I don't want to be hurting on the plane. :)

Busy busy

I have a lot going on, but trying to keep up my workouts this week and into the middle of next week. I got a great shoulders workout this morning (about an hour) then did the eliptical for 30 minutes. I'm working my back tomorrow. I bought a big bottle of amino acids but I'm not going to start taking those until I get back from the states. I figure it wouldn't do me any good now since I won't be working out for a while.
