Sleeping till noon.....
being a college student and most of my classes being 6PM night classes, I have a hard time of waiking up before 12, and therefore miss two morning meals (if you're the type who eats 6 small meals). I get up have lunch which varries from chicken wings to penut butter bread. after that, I end up snacking on cookies or crackers, we don't really have too much healthy food in the house. and dinner is a big occasion, black beans every time, I just can't stay away from the Rice.... it's addicting when you've been having it all your life.
and where does Fruit come in? aren't you supposed to be having 5 to like 6 a day? what would you reccomend to integrating more fruit into a diet?

ideas
*blend all your fruit servings into a smoothie (even watermelon blended is more like a juice)
*fruit salad
*add lemon juice to your water
*squeeze your own orange juice
*putting some fruit in a green salad (I like grapes, mandarin oranges and/or cranberries in mine)
*puree apples or similar fruits and heat it up like warm apple sauce
*slice up some apples or pears and heat them in a bit of water (the natural sugar in the fruit makes a slightly thickened sauce)
*mix some in with cereal (it makes hot cereals taste way better)
*pre-slice and carry as a snack
*pineapple in stir-fry dishes
*fruit leather
*dried fruit in trail mix
Just remember to eat the rainbow... meaning get a variety of colors (both fruits and veggies) in your meals -- different colors and types have different nutritional benefits.
Try to get in more fresh fruit than dried. Dried fruit typically has high sugar and low water content.
