I think it would be useful to have a feature to track your daily caloric/fat/etc. intake so you can also chart progress on that. Possible future features on that would include:

*Recipes, so you don't have to add something like "2 slices bread, 1 Tbsp. Peanut Butter, 1 Tbsp. Jelly" every time you have a PB&J sandwich.
*Meal planner.
*Suggested alternatives to high cal/fat/etc. planned items.

This would really be helpful as a total health solution.

i second this. I am fairly new to this site, I used to used FitDay.com alot, but really enjoy the web 2.0 stuff and have been trying to decide between traineo.com and gimme20.com, overall i think i like this site better but miss the Diet/food section, that'd be an awesome implementation on this site and really complete the package.

agreed. that's the one thing i'm really missing on this site, cause i want to use it to get back in shape finally, but there aren't the tools i need here. also, a challenge section could be cool, like people could join groups that could compete against each other to make losing weight more fun and to have a team of people to really keep us motivated.

I would love to see this feature added - even if a full out database was created later, that would be okay. Even just a basic log, where the user can group fave food items would be awesome. It helps users be accountable.

Later on it would be cool having a summary feature that reports some stats - which meals you eat the most, which are your high calorie type foods etc...

I also agree on this idea. Currently I am working to just use my blog for that, but it would be nice to be able to track it formally.

I don't necessarily want to track my calorie intake, but a simple diet tracker where you could add goals and actualizations would be cool.

Something as simple as a writeable calendar would be cool.

I am Zack one of the new Co-Owners of Gimme20. There is no questions nutrition plays a very large in peoples overall well being.
