Great way to build up body resistance.
Muscle Groups: Triceps, Chest

Exercise Steps

Start with shoulders over wrists at shoulder width apart.

Lower trunk to floor while elbows stay against torso. Push up and repeat.

How do you work up to doing a pushup without being on your knees?

Upper body strength

Upper body strength training. Push ups utilise the chest and the triceps.
If you're in a gym and don't have a spotter, try the machines for the Seated Bench Press and Assisted Dips or Pressdowns and Rope Pulldowns on the cable machine.
