I find when I work out, the more I want to work out. Its hard getting things going when you sit all day at a desk, but I find once you get up and just get that ball rolling, then your motivation really starts to kick in.

I am going to start to track my progress with body photos and a blog to keep me excited about the fact that I am getting fit and staying healthier.

How does everyone else keep their motivation up?

I am the same way, once I

I am the same way, once I get started, I am on my way.... It's just being able to sit down and devise what I want to do. I know that once I get to the gym (I always think I can do it on my own, but fail) I will be fine.. I just have to get there...

Best of luck with your program... I look forward to keeping in touch!

Went for a jog in the rain

I still haven't made it to the gym yet but I started jogging a bit again. I come back completely soaked but feeling pretty good all the same. I'm hoping to get my motivation up and then make it into the gym sometime soon. I'm also hoping to get into some indoor sports such a racket ball or something. Do you play any indoor sports?

I usually play volleyball,

I usually play volleyball, but since my surgeries, I haven't been up to it. I coach volleyball and I get a little play time then, but nothing competitive.

Do you run a lot? Did you in the past? I want to start running more... I have never BEEN a runner, nor had the drive to run, until now). I have been walk / jogging on my treadmill, but it has a small treadpath and I am scared to death of falling...lol I have instability from nerve damage in my lower right leg and, at times, it doesn't respond the way it should. I have been working with my xball (like BOSU) trying to regain some core stability.

Racquetball is a great way to start your indoor activities... It can get pretty competitive... I haven't played since college, but I remember coming out drenched in sweat...lol That'll burn the calories...

I haven't been to the gym yet either, and I think that maybe it'll be next week before I get there.... MAYBE tomorrow because the Biggest Loser Finale is on tonight and that may motivate me...lol School lets out for Christmas next Thursday... I am hoping that I can get on some type of routine at the gym then. Christmas is always a rough time trying to get everything done, but if you get into a routine DURING that time, when the hustle and bustle ends, it'll be SMOOTH SAILING.... (hopefully...lol)
