An inspirational article about Jack LaLanne, the original fitness guru. He may be too extreme for most, but he makes excellent points. Our exercise and nutrition effect our mood and performance, yet it is often neglected in favor of fleeting pleasures and delusional rationale.

It is a great read and he stands true to his word... Now WHERE'S my JUICER....lol
exercise ball
Hi
Has anyone here worked with an exercise ball? I just bought one today, but am having trouble getting motivated because I have my doubts that it will make visible improvements. I bought it because my mom started doing it, and I do see improvements in her physique. She works out with a lot of different machines though so I don't know that the improvement is due to the ball.
Thanks
Jeane
I have one.
I just bought mine a few months ago. I haven't used it a whole lot. I know there is a lot you can do with it. I subscribe to several fitness magazines and they always have exercises in them for it so I wanted to give some of them a try. Some of them are quite difficult! I work out with weights mostly, but I do use it sometimes... especially for crunches. I think it would get boring if that was all you were using, but I think it makes a great addition to regular workouts.
