Using Chin up bar or assisted chin up machine grab onto handles with hands slightly shoulder width apart.
Initially push off floor to give self momentum. Raise self to chin level on the bar, then slowly extend arms short of locking out. Ensure to contract your lats.

A pullup is when the palms face away from you. A chin up is when they face towards you. Pictured for the chin-up is the pull-up.
