introduction
For starters...
Hi all,
I am not entirely sure how I landed on Gimme20, but would like to introduce myself and why I am here. On occasion, while perusing through the internet universe, I stumble upon useful/interesting/inspiring sites that motivate me to join. As a social networking butterfly, I enjoy collaborating with others about a range of topics: food, culture and fitness being my favorites.
Poppin' the gimme20 blog cherry...
Yea so, alright I just happened to stumble across this site and thought I'd sign up. Looks good so far but we'll see how it helps me in keeping motivated through my exercise regimen and weight loss plan. I'm at work now and I'd love to add more detail but I'm afraid my co-worker will catch me goofing off. Till later.
Rants and Ramblings
Hi,I'm Rachel. Since I'm new I thought I might introduce myself and maybe list some of my goals:
-Lose some weight.
-Excercise more.
-Eat healthier.
Introduction
I would like to introduce myself mainly in a short but brief entrance. I am mainly looking for a workout buddy and wish to see if there is anyone in Boston or East Boston located in this place. Hopefully I can find you, whether you are male or female I need someone that hopefully has the same schedule or maybe just the same lifestyle that I have and would like to work out. I have a membership at a local gym and work as a pool manager at a local pool that is, by many people from the community a hidden jewel. I am, as well as my coworkers, working on making this pool one of the best in the city. Also If you have any information on a local triathlon team that I can join as well as information for any in Puerto Rico, I will be moving there next year, it would also be greatly appreciated. In any case hope to hear from anyone and everyone, oh just in case you are curious I am also interested in gadgets and can help you in any purchase you might be making.
I knew it was out there!
I keep a regular blog, too, but I try not to bore my blog-readers with tales of how my fitness goals are going...particularly because no one else in my group of friends is particularly a fitness or exercise person. So a few days ago I was thinking it'd be cool if somewhere out there was a blog-like community...but fitness centered. It would have groups like Xanga's blogrings for support, and maybe even forums.
This is great!
Okay, so here's my story to kick it off. I was getting ready for my company's annual Christmas party last December. When I went to go put on the dress I thought I was going to wear... it didn't fit. Neither did my second choice, which I had worn just the previous holiday season. As I put on my third choice outfit I knew something just had to change.
