Ok well it's been approximately a week and I've got some updates for you all:

Firstly my program is circuit style; I workout every muscle group in the same day with the machines shown below. For the first week my trainer advised me to do 2 SETS of each, with each SET consisting of 12 reptitions.

And so it begins (100kg & 30% body fat)

Hello everyone,

I recently joined gimme20.com. Was looking around for the best online fitness management / tracking / monitoring type of gig there is, and well gimme20 seemed legit enough to sign up. So far it's been only a few days and I'm liking the features. A little about me, I've always been the "athletic" type; play all kinds of sports, and some seriously such as swimming and basketball. But now that my highschool / college days are over, and it's been a few years now in the corporate world, I feel I'm losing control of my body.

With two thirds of our population overweight (one third in the obese category), watching our weight is no longer something we are doing to look more appealing, or perhaps thinking about doing. It has become a necessary action to prevent disease and increased health costs.

With physical activities being curtailed in schools and backyards and more opportunity to sit in front of televisions, computers and game boys, even our children are joining the ranks of the sedentary lifestyle which
promotes an overweight population. Adult diseases are becoming more prominent in children. Adult onset diabetes has been renamed to accommodate all the children who are being diagnosed with it, some as early as in infancy.

Great article by A.M.Sall:

1. What is my BMI and how do I calculate it?

BMI means Body Mass Index.
The value is associated with body fat and health risks.

Healthy weight is defined as a BMI equal to or greater
than 19 and less than 25 among all people aged 20
or over. Between 25 and 29.9 is considered overweight;
more than 30 is considered obese.

To determine body mass index:
[Weight in pounds ÷ Height in inches ÷ Height in inches] x 703.

Fractions and ounces must be entered as decimal values.

The metric formula is: BMI= Body Weight(kg)/height(m)2.
Remember that: 2.2 lbs.=1 kg and 39.4 ins.=1m.
