Fell off the wagon
June 4, 2007 - 3:41am — alldaytoughOk, so last week was going well, but then starting Friday afternoon things started to turn downward. I went out to lunch with some friends at work, and didn't even need do, I just accepted the invitation instead of eaing my lean cuisine pizza, and ended up eating too much. That was compounded with a dinner that was not heathy (pizza).
Then on Saturday I volunteered at an event most of the day (8am - 4pm), I had a very light breakfast, and very light lunch, but the downside was that it was so light that I was famashed when I got home and overate before, during, and after dinner. Ugg! So Saturday was a wash ~ oh and to top it off, I didn't workout.
3 straight days
June 1, 2007 - 3:54am — alldaytoughThis is my 3d day in a row, waking up early and getting my workout done. I feel great. This morning was pretty tough, not only waking up, but about 1/2 way through my run, I was feeling pretty sick (nauseous). And felt sick like that after the run for a little while. What really worried me was that I'll think about that next week when it's time to workout and that will be an excuse not to get up and work out. I really want my workouts to be fun. In the end, I decided that it's only the 3d day and I will have some days that I don't feel so good, but my body will adapt and get used to waking up and excercising early.
Two Days in a Row
May 31, 2007 - 3:39am — alldaytoughSo my motivation has finally caught up with my intentions and the result is that I now have a consecutive day count of two (2). My plan is to alternate cardio and MSE (muscular strength endurance) days.
For me the key is getting up early to get my workouts done before I hit the office. My life is pretty busy and I have to get my fitness in before the sun comes up, otherwise I'm probably not going to get it done (at least not at this point in my fitness training).
There are two other elements to my plan for success; the first is this blog. I want to get involved in a community of like-minded people with whom I can share success and stories, and generally gain motivation from and help provide motivation to. The last element of my plan for success is my diet. I'm currently using myplate.com to track all my food intake, as well as my excercises for calories burnt.
