First Track Meet

Hmm, ouch. LoL...I joined track 2 days ago because I was bored and just wanted to get in shape for basketball, and we had a meet today. My coach had me just run the 2 mile to see how I would do and...not good. My official time was 11:56 and I think I came in either 8th or 9th out of 16 lol. In the next two weeks I plan on having it down below 11:20 ATLEAST. But all in all, was a fun day and I got out of school so... :)

Wow, I just joined, no posting goin on in the running group? What's everyone running, and do ya do it for fun or school, or what? Let's get some talkin goin on in here lol.

I personally love to run, it just relaxes me. And once again this year, I end up goin out for track about 2 weeks like because I didn't plan on going out at all (I don't like running in cirlces :P) and so I'm going on 2 days of practice and I get to run the 2 mile tomorrow at a meet and maybe the 800...should be interesting. Hoping to get my 2 mile down below an 11 by the state meet, and my 800 down to the low 2's (2:04-5).

Newbie :)

Ok so...I'm new here and don't know what in the world I'm doin...but it's all good. LoL Let's see, I'm 6'2 and around 140 :( trying to put on some mass it just doesn't happen for me. Pound for pound I can hold my own with most people lifting, but I run distance in track so that's not exactly helping with the weight gaining.

Like I said though, I'm new here and just kinda gettin the feel for things, IF (for some crazy reason) anyone wants to add me to their friend list or however it works here, be my guest. I'm hoping that next week I will be able to keep track of my daily workouts and runs on here so...yeah. :)
