Kitty8Toto's blog
Pokey Puppy
September 26, 2006 - 5:20pm — Kitty8TotoWith left arm swollen and aching, walk to post office is enough for now!
Mon.....12 min amble to post office, 12 min amble back
Today...10 min walk with purpose, 10 min walk w/ purpose back
Back to briskness tomorrow, even if I have to sling arm. But no Patchy!!
Charting Week 1
September 25, 2006 - 10:03am — Kitty8TotoHaven't figured out how to chart my walks, but no biggy. Blog will do.
Mon.....20 min briskly
Tue.....missed
Wed.....20 min briskly
Thu.....20 min briskly
Fri.......missed, but rode bike a while
Sat.....missed
Sun.....1 1/2 mile briskly, at least until Patchy tripped me up onto my face! Seriously sprained L elbow foolishly trying to catch myself instead of doing tuck and roll. If I manage to push myself out the door today, Patch stays home!
Adding my exercise
September 22, 2006 - 3:56pm — Kitty8TotoOh my goodness! I am so glad I use a tabbed browser (Firefox)! I had to keep the Compose Tips page open to use while editing the walking-jogging exercise program I added. My first attempt at adding the exercise was a big unreadable chunk. Never realized I would be learning HTML here. Every day is a chance to learn something new!
Old Beginnings
September 22, 2006 - 12:45pm — Kitty8TotoIf the phrase "new beginnings" is not redundant, then "old beginnings" is the truth for me. Beyond the fact that this body is no longer new, each serious task I have attempted has meant beginning, then beginning again, and again, until beginning gets old. I am inherently lazy. I think it took me at least eight beginnings before I quit smoking. I finally won the battle with the support and companionship of my mother who quit with me. Weight control and fitness are no different. I am constantly beginning again. As my profile "photo" suggests, I enjoy some very low energy output activities. So much so that I not only hate to look at myself in the mirror, but have not had any recent photos taken. It should help to know that now somebody is watching, and cheering me on, just as I can cheer on others.
